Army Display

One of the Grandparents from the MACC community was able to come today and show us his large collection of army memorabilia. The students loved being able to try on the backpacks and helmets. You can see from the pictures the amazing display he has collected.

Tinker Time

What a great start to the term. 4E had a marvelous time today constructing replicas of our homes. Some students made some fancy looking homes. As you can see from the pictures we had a fun day.

Fresh Grades

During this term 4E have been using a website called Fresh Grades. This site allows students and teachers to document and communicate assessment results and learning progress for all subject areas. Not only can students’ scores be uploaded to Fresh Grades but samples of their work. Students are encouraged to reflect and comment on their learning so they know what to do to improve.

Fresh Grades allows parents to see their child’s work and make comments if desired. Next term I will arrange access for you to view your child’s portfolio of work. This access will come in the form of an email and link to the website. No-one else will be able to access your child’s portfolio except you, myself and your child.

I hope this will be of value to you in understanding how your child is learning and progress this year.

Awards

Josh, Lily and Brianna have been working hard in History and Geography and have gained our H.S.I.E. award at the assembly today. Well done.

Sleep over

We are all having a wonderful time at our sleep over. We have just finished pizza and are about to have our ice creams. We are looking forward to the movie after dessert.  I hope we all get a good nights sleep.
